More than 25 years ago, John established LDC based upon a belief that he could provide a service and product that outperformed its competitors. He instituted the fundamental principles that LDC uses daily: value, service and community.

He is the Past Chairman of the Engineering Review Standards Committee of Fairfax County and is affiliated with the Virginia Association of Surveyors, American Congress of Surveying and Mapping, and the National Society of Professional Surveyors.

Matt is responsible for establishing and achieving the corporate goals and implementing corporate efficiencies. He uses his decade of experience and regulatory relationships to ensure that our staff produces a technically sound and punctual deliverable. He is a licensed land surveyor that is cross-trained in all disciplines of land development. He prides himself on employing the appropriate methodology for each property to maximize our clients' investments and to minimize their risks. He has managed all facets of the land development process for local, regional and national clients.

He is a member of the American Planning Association, American Institute of Certified Planners, Virginia Association of Surveyors, American Society of Civil Engineers, Virginia Association of Surveyors, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association.

Josh Marshall, P.E., D.P.E.
Vice President

Josh is responsible for the day to day operation of the Engineering Department. His background includes all facets of land development engineering; commercial, industrial and residential, on all scales in various jurisdictions. With a comprehensive understanding of civil design fundamentals and jurisdictional accord, he ensures a final product that minimizes cost and maximizes potential. His experience has allowed him to obtain hundreds of plan approvals in the Region.
