COMMUNITY WORK

LDC is dedicated to sharing the success we have enjoyed with others in the community. Whether it be through volunteer work or charitable donations, LDC has a passion for creating and improving positive opportunities for those in need.

Patriot Legacy Fund:

Located in Suwanee, Georgia, the Patriot Legacy Fund provides scholarships to the children of Gulf War and Post-9/11 veterans. The Patriot Legacy Fund is a fully recognized non-profit organization (501c3), staffed solely by volunteers. With the aim of keeping administrative expenses limited, the Patriot Legacy Fund provides the maximum amount of donations possible to recipients of their scholarship.

Our Involvement:

The number of post-9/11 veterans has been rising for decades. LDC hopes to lessen the amount of challenges these veterans face when transitioning back to civilian life by helping to provide low-cost education to their children. Therefore, LDC has joined forces with the Patriot Legacy Fund in their efforts to provide scholarships to the children of Gulf War era veterans.

Serve Our Willing Warriors:

Serve our Willing Warriors is a publicly-funded, non-profit organization headquartered in Prince William County’s Haymarket, Virginia. With a goal of reinforcing the spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being for America’s disabled veteran community, Serve Our Willing Warriors provides this honorable group with recreational, therapeutic, and educational programs. Also, at no expense to recovering veterans and their families, Serve Our Willing Warriors provides them with a home-away-from-home experience during their recovery process via the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run.

Our Involvement:

Veterans with disabilities are a group for which LDC has the utmost respect, and passion to aid in easing their adaptation to life after injury and the military. This has inspired us to partner with Serve Our Willing Warriors and Evergreene Homes to provide the services needed for the design, development, and construction of a second cottage at the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run. LDC is a proud sponsor of Serve Our Willing Warriors’ Annual Golf Tournament.

Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes:

Operating out of Bluffton, South Carolina, the Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes has a mission to donate all of its proceeds to charities approved by Birdies for the Brave, a PGA Tour Charites Inc., affiliate. By focusing on wounded military heroes residing in South Carolina and the Georgia Low Country area, the Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes provides concentrated services to those in need. Every donation received by the Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes goes directly to fulfilling the individual needs of our wounded heroes as they progress to the civilian way of life.
