LDC recently visited Neabsco Elementary School to participate in their career day. Joan Holliday, Elis Librada, L.S., Carlos Flores-Garay and Emily Parkerson, L.A., shared about our industry and answered a variety of questions about jobs in engineering, landscape architecture and surveying. Students were shown Neabsco Elementary school’s engineering plans and learned how plans are created using Autocad. They had the opportunity to see and use a robotic instrument, as well as learn about housing and building plats. Students were shown a 3D model of a gas station and drive-thru restaurant, with the accompanying landscape and color design guidelines and were able to take home individual blueprints.
