DESCRIPTION:
Innovation Town Center is a pedestrian-oriented mixed-use development adjacent to the George Mason University Science and Technology Campus. The project rezoned 107.4 acres from agricultural and planned business district to mixed-use district, and requested a special-use permit on 25.1 acres for the Town Center component. The development is envisioned as a new destination for Prince William County, with a mix of unit types, office, restaurants, and retail space.
The LDC project team, both at the planning and engineering level, have worked diligently with all stakeholders to ensure the design intent is carried out throughout all the different design components. Some of the project-wide design elements include: multi-modal connectivity, public spaces, urban streetscapes, interpretive signage, and an array of residential unit types.
